The snails you are buying are born and bred in the United States of America, in the State of Indiana.

We do not sell imported animals and never will.

Ramshorn Snails are an amazing clean-up crew and we keep them in every tank we have.

They feed on algae and decaying matter, and a lot of it.

These Ramshorn Snails (Planorbidae) can breathe air and are shipped in soggy paper towels to keep them from banging against each other in shipping.

We find that smaller snails ship more safely because gravity can be harsh when you live in a shell.

When fully grown your snails will be about the size of a dime.

In the first few months your snails will turn filth you didn't know you had into a whole lot of Ramshorn Snails. Though harmless, If you feel overwhelmed by the number of snails simply place a piece of carrot or other vegetable in a cup and sink the cup in your aquarium. The snails will pile into the cup and you can then remove as many as you like.

Size: Much smaller than a dime. Tiny. See photos.

Shipping: We ship Monday - Wednesday when weather permits (above freezing and below 90℉/32℃).

If your area is having issues with USPS, select UPS or USPS Priority Express at checkout.

Express checkout may not show you all shipping options, use regular checkout.

Shipping is not refundable.

DOA: These snails are extremely hardy and rarely die in the post. Even if they look dead place them in a bowl of dechlorinated (double dose) water and leave them be overnight.

If the animals do die in the post we are happy to replace or refund (minus the cost of shipping) because we want you to enjoy these animals. Treat our animals with the same respect you give a dog or cat and we will bend over backwards for you.

Returns: We do not accept the return of animals, all sales are final.
